Step 1  Formal confirmations and user details

Firstly, we would like to ask users to provide some confirmations and user details. Confirmations include the declaration of consent for the collection of statistical data by Google Analytics and acknowledgement of the privacy policy. The information provided by users enables the operator of TimberVetProof to gain an understanding of the users’ origin, background and testing intentions. This does not involve any direct insight into personal and organisational user inputs and evaluations.

Step 2  Opening the work template

Individual validation and development processes are initiated when users select a recommended work template for editing from an overview, in accordance with their intended purpose. Upon clicking, the template appears on the user’s computer screen and is immediately ready for editing.

Step 3  Editing the template

Entries are made using a simple editing procedure. Users check the content-based description of competences (knowledge, skills and competences) derived from the EQF-Timber within the selected template, in line with the intended assessment perspective. The user is only required to assess the extent to which the competences listed in the assessment framework are present, partially present or absent in relation to the intended perspective of the analysis (an individual, a job advertisement, a company, a vocational training provider, etc.). The selection is made by ticking the checkbox next to the description.

Step 4  Further processing of the templates

Templates currently being edited can be paused at any time and saved at the current stage of work. If necessary, the template can be reopened and further edited, corrected in parts, or saved as final. The template can then be released for statistical analysis and presentation of the results in numerical and graphical form. Analysis results can be viewed on screen and subsequently exported or saved to a selected location.

Step 5  Analysis and interpretation of results

The analysis results provide evidence of the presence of skills in numerical and graphical form for the selected purpose of the assessment. As an initial meaningful and neutral factual framework, they allow conclusions to be drawn about the presence or prospects of qualifications. Users are then free to draw their own further interpretations and conclusions, depending on the purpose pursued.
